Officer Safety, Security And Survival



At some point in your career as a law enforcement officer you will witness another officer or yourself injured or killed in the line of duty. It's reality. This course discusses these issues from a patrol officer's viewpoint. Many topics discussed provide examples, case studies, advice, tips, etc. The materials presented deal with issues concerning law enforcement officers killed or injured from shootings, escape attempts, assaults, hidden weapons, transports, etc. It should be noted that many officer deaths and injuries also stem from vehicle accidents, natural accidents, training accidents, weather-related accidents and off duty incidents. This course gives you examples of officer safety, security and survival tactics, along with dangerous weapons, reminders, outlooks, lessons learned, etc. It is an opportunity for you to realize that officer safety issues are real and need to be addressed and remembered. Be aware that some of the materials are very detailed, graphic and some even disturbing. It is meant to assist in the continued education of all law enforcement officers.
