About AAPO

AAPO, a non-profit organization, is an alliance of law enforcement professionals dedicated to educational programs and services benefiting both police officers and citizens.

Founded in 1989 by a group of law enforcement professionals, AAPO is guided by an advisory council of law enforcement veterans and distinguished citizens.

From assisting departments deal with a Line-of-Duty Death through the Police Memorial Program; offering web-based training through the Online Police Academy or sponsoring a nationwide crime prevention campaign with “SafeStreet”, the American Association of Police Officers continues to be a dedicated to the safety and welfare of police officers and citizens.
